Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

This is an original, alternate style, one-sheet movie poster from 1975 for Monty Python and the Holy Grail starring Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam directed the classic comedy.  Paul Crifo is the artist for the poster.

When Monty Python and the Holy Grail was released theatrically in 1975, newspaper ads often had the tagline "Makes Ben Hur look like an epic!"  However, almost all one-sheet posters for the film were printed with a "Marvelously zany humor" quote from a Newsweek review at the top.  This poster is an extremely rare version with the original, Ben-Hur tagline.  It measures 27” x 41” and is in very good condition with a few, black ink smudges from printing or long-term storage. The poster was folded at the time of printing.  Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
