This is an original, one-sheet movie poster from 1978 for The Last Waltz. Martin Scorsese directed the film featuring The Band (comprised of Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel and Robbie Robertson) during their “farewell” performance at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom in 1976. The film features appearances and performances by Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, Van Morrison, Dr. John, Muddy Waters, Paul Butterfield, Ringo Starr and Ron Wood.
The poster measures 27” x 41” and is in good to very good condition with some scattered, small creases and minor edge/fold wear from previous handling and long-term storage. It was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
