2+5: Missione Hydra (1966)

This is a very rare, original Italian Locandina movie poster from 1966 for the Italian science-fiction film 2+5: Missione Hydra (reedited and reissued as Star Pilot in the United States in 1977). The movie stars Eleonora Ruffo, Anthony Freeman, Kirk Morris, Roland Lesaffre, Al Norton and Leontine May. Pietro Francisci directed the film. Mario Piovano did the artwork for the poster. This science fiction film reportedly contains the phrases "Star Fleet", "Star Fleet Command", "Warp Speed", and "Impulse Drive" - all of which were later incorporated into the popular Star Trek series.

The poster measures approximately 13”x 27” and is in good to very good condition. It was folded when printed back in in the 1960s. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters. The poster has been stored flat for many years and will be shipped securely in a rigid tube mailer. The poster has moderate, age-related fold wear and edge-wear.
